How do some experts and service providers get paid infinitely more than their “competitors”, while doing the same (or even less) work?

Some experts and coaches charge a measly $50 – $100/hr. and work themselves to the bone while other coaches and consultants charge $1k-$2k/hr. or get $5k-$10k+ for their programs.

Some authors charge $10-$20 for their book, while other authors charge $100 – $1,500 for their book.
